Refinery Safety Orientation Course
16 Hours (2 Consecutive Saturdays) 7:00 -3:30 P.m.
Students need to bring notebook, pencil, highlighters
Dress: Standard work attire for practical shop exercise
This course will identify the major health and safety hazards associated with working in the oil refinery and petrochemical industry and provide a basic understanding of refinery processes and operations. Topics include hazards specific to those encountered during work in high hazardous facilities and actions to take to minimize risk of illness and injury to self and others. Training is focused and will emphasize the specific safety and health hazards, procedures and safe practices applicable to the employee's job tasks.
