Rigging Classes

Local 597 offers rigging and signaling courses to our members.  Signal Person Safety Training is required by OSHA for an individual to direct a crane.  The UA certified rigger course will give the Journeyman a better understanding of the forces at work when a lift is being made.  The Signal Person Safety Training is included in the UA rigging class.  A member must re-certify every four years.  If you have questions regarding the rigging program at Local 597, please contact the training center.
